Living Labs are initiatives in which research and experimentation takes place in a real-life context. Everyone is learning-by-doing and is an equal partner so can propose ideas, test and improve them.
Living Labs create opportunities for farmers and other stakeholders to develop solutions together to challenges they face in their area, region, or supply chain, taking into account their specific circumstances.
The Living Lab differs from a more typical research approach, where the researchers and/or funders may take a lead on the focus of the studies and questions asked. In our Living Lab we are all part of the system we are studying.
