August 2024
The Land Use for Net Zero (LUNZ) Footprint research project had its “kick-off” meeting at the University of Gloucestershire on 2 August 2024.
The aim of the three year project is to develop and evaluate a scalable auditable farm- and food-level greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting framework to sustainably reduce GHG emissions.
The project team includes five academic institutions (University of Gloucestershire, Cranfield University, SRUC, University of Aberdeen, Harper Adams University), three greenhouse gas calculator companies (Farm Carbon Toolkit, Agrecalc, and the Cool Farm Alliance), a land agent (Savills) and 100 farmers from across the UK.
